Germany is one of the biggest countries in Europe, located in Central Europe. The Northern part of Germany is lowland, in the middle part of Germany there are some small mountain ranges in the "Schwarzwald"and the "Harz". A major mountain range, the "Alpen" is situated in the south on teh border with Austria. The highest mountain peak is the Zugspitze (2,963 m). Most of the "worthwile" waterfalls are situated in the Bavarian alps.
